It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Renee Lynn Barrett (Halifax, Nova Scotia), born in Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on October 11, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ted Barrett and Mary Barrett of Brantford, ON. She is survived by: her children, Jessica and Jeffrey Shanks (Kristin Havill); her granddaughters, Laina and Kennedy; her sister Deb Barrett (Jim Leech); her family Rock Church; and her pet Georgia.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. A. Snow Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax, NS B3S0E1). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. Her career ended early because of a melanoma diagnosis, followed by Covid-19.
