She was predeceased by: her parents, Ada Julia (Lynch) and John Augustus Brooks; her husband Gerald John Johnson; her son Rodger; and her siblings, James, Patrick, Harold and Eileen Hamm.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Castle (Gary) of Halifax, Brad Johnson (Denise) of Dartmouth and Barry Johnson of Halifax; her grandchildren, Jerry Johnson (Laura-Leigh) of St. Margaret, Bay, Michelle Johnson of Calgary, Craig Johnson (Natasha) of Dartmouth, Cory Johnson (Megen) of Toronto, Mark Castle (Jessica) of Halifax and Kelly Castle MacKaracher (Reg) of Timberlea; her great grandchildren, Lauren Johnson, Caleigh Duffy, Isabelle Johnson, Ewan MacKaracher, Geneva Johnson and Brock Johnson; and her daughter-in-law Wendy Johnson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
