It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Stephen McDonald and Lucienne Bedard; his wife Wendy; his sons, Chris (Erin) and Andrew (Jaëlle); and his grandchildren, Théodore and Rosalie.

Visitation was held on Thursday, November 25th 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the J. A. Snow's Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax, NS B3S0E1). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 26th 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Ja Snow Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax, NS B3S0E1). One of the last holidays pre-pandemic included Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. During the pandemic, we enjoyed armchair travelling via webinars to new and exciting worldwide sites, led by professional birders, keeping the ecotourism community engaged.
