He was predeceased by: his parent John Barrett; his children, John (Kathy), Ernest (Julie), Stephen (Elizabeth) and Mary Anne; and his sisters, Jean Zwicker (Carl) and Doris Whalley (Leslie).
He is survived by: his parent Alice Barrett (Frame); and his sister-in-law Elizabeth Hogan (Betty). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson Society Maritime Region.
