He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Turner and Harry Turner; his significant other Kay; his sister Joan (Alvin Thorne); and his brothers-in-law, Murray Burt and Clarence Pinsent.

He is survived by: his children, Suzanne Turner, Cathy Walls (Charles) and Andrew Turner (Heather); his sisters-in-law, Ada Pinsent and Nancy MacLeod (Lloyd); his grandchildren, Matthew (Rachael), Hilary (Shawn), Jaclynn (Kyle), Jeffrey (Ashton) and Benjamin; and his great grandchildren, Madeline, Angus, Nora and Luca. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, close friends.
