It is with sadness that the passing of Roy Orval Kinghorn of Halifax, Nova Scotia is shared. Roy, born on August 9, 1939 in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, passed away on September 20, 2026. Roy will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honour Roy by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Roy is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Roy’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his mother Bertha Sterns; his stepfather Russell Sterns; his siblings, Ruth Humphrey, Marjorie Mason, Betty Mitchell and Ed Kinghorn; and his son-in-law Ian Milley.
He is survived by: his wife Carol (Grant); his children, Darlene and Paul (Cathy); and his granddaughters, Emma (Jacob Rhyno) and Amanda.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the J. Snow Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax, NS B3S0E1).
