The passing of Ruth Elaine Sutherland of Halifax, Nova Scotia leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 22, 2025 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Thomas Evans and Lillian Evans; and her siblings, Phillis and Carl. She is survived by: her husband John (Gosh); her sons, Paul and Craig (Rachel); her grandchildren, Daniel, Maya, Patrick and Jacob; and her sister June. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the J. A. Snow Funeral Home (339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax, NS B3S0E1). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hillside United Church (12 Flamingo Dr, Halifax, NS B3M1S5).
