He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest "William" and Nina Hackett (Butler); his wife Barb; his siblings, Ida of Kelowna, BC, Bill (Kentville), Fred (Sackville) and David (Halifax); and his niece Ann Hackett (Dartmouth).
He is survived by: his son Grant (Kelly); his granddaughter Katlyn (Andrew Hines); his siblings, Jean (Roger Foisy) and Edward (Cecilia); and also, Lynn (Keith Carroll) and Janice (Deanna Neilson). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
