She is survived by: her parents, Gerald MacNeil and Shirley MacNeil; her spouse Patricia Louise MacNeil; her children, Jamika Meisner (Scott) and T'shawn; her grandson Jackson Meisner; and her siblings, Louise Sothepkaysone and Jerome MacNeil.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Chester Legion Branch 44.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour Shelly's compassionate spirit are invited to make a donation to the Elizabeth Fry Society.
