She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Henry Patrick "Harry" Forbes of Halifax and Mary Catherine "Katie" McCarron of Halifax; her son Michael (Trina) of Newmarket, ON.; and her grandchildren, Luc, Megan and Matthew.

Services are limited to immediate family due to Covid-19 restrictions.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one of Shirley's favourite charities, Operation Smile Canada.
