It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley V. Clayton in Halifax, Nova Scotia, born in Eureka, Nova Scotia, who passed away on December 16, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Bezanson and Claire Bezanson; her daughter Barbara Smith; and her siblings, Hughie, Donnie, Eleanor, Winnie and Jessie.

She is survived by: her husband Maurice Clayton; her sons, Michael (Maxine) and William; her son-in-law Ian Smith; her daughters, Linda McGee (Earl) and Nancy O'Hanley (Jeff); and her grandchildren, Bill, Wendy, Joe, Vikki, Jillian, Chad and Sarah. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews.
