He was predeceased by: his parents, Dimitri (Maria Panopalis) and Sam; his sisters, Katina Georgoudis (Kosta) and Martha Papoulis (Aristides); and his son Dimitri.

He is survived by: his wife Areti Panopalis; his children, Maria Ioannidou (Andreas) and Evangelos (Caroline); his grandchildren, Yianni (Irini), Sotirios, Victor, Areti, Eleni and Margarita; his great grandchild Panayiota; his siblings, Gregory (Georgia), Thanasi (Julia), George (Demetra) and Kanelli (Dimitri); his family Dr. Piskata; and his friends, Martha and Rick Baigent. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
