He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas "Tom" Spence and Carrie Spence (Mapplebeck); and his siblings, Tom, Merle, Bert and Ellen Louise.
He is survived by: his wife Pat (Palmer); and his son Steaphan "Steve" (Nadine). He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Birch Cove Baptist Church (50 Donaldson Ave, Halifax, NS B3M3B5).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Birch Cove Baptist in Spud's memory.
