She is survived by: her husband Peter M. MacPherson; her friend Bill W.; her children, Jim MacPherson (Lan) of Cowichan Bay, BC, Anne Marie McKenna of Halifax, NS, Mary Lee MacPherson of Edmonton, AB, Paul MacPherson of Kelowna, BC, Peter MacPherson (Sarah Irwin) and Trish MacPherson of Hackett's Cove, NS.; her stepchildren, Frank Jr. Campbell (Holly), Royden Campbell (Heather), Jackie, Joanne and Andrew Abraham; her grandchildren, Melissa McKenna, Peter, Neil MacPherson and Thuy Linh Nguyen; her great grandchildren, Thanh Lam Nguyen and Julie Phan; her stepgrandchildren, Amy Buckley, Emma Campbell, Jason, Natasha Campbell and Andrew Abraham; her sisters-in-law, Helen MacNeil and Carmella Clarke; her nieces, Judy MacPherson Lutes and Karen MacNeil; her goddaughter Cara Jessome of Sydney, NS.; and her brother Malcolm MacNeil of Sydney, NS.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Sylvia's family asks that donations be made to: Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia, ALS Society of Nova Scotia or Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
