He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Reid and Eva Reid (Harris); and his brother Glynn. He is survived by: his son Alan of Toronto, ON; his siblings, Cyril (Barbara) of Amherst, NS and Joan Harris-Reid of Greenfield, NS; his siblings' children, Kat Reid, Karin, Kim, Sherri, Glynn, Chris and Michael; and his close friends, Tom and Kimm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the NS Heart and Stroke Foundation or Hope Cottage, Halifax.
