It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vincent McBain Tobin (Halifax, Nova Scotia), who passed away on April 22, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Vincent McBain is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael John Tobin and Lena McBain Tobin; and his adoptive parent Father Vladamir. He is survived by: his pet Jerusalem.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the St. George's Greek Orthodox Church (38 Purcells Cove Rd, Halifax, NS B3N1R4). A burial will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Pinehurst Cemetery (3448 Nova Scotia Trunk 10, New Germany, NS B0R1E0).

“Dr. Tobin was a cherished professor and friend. For many years after university, we would meet to have his favourite Indian cuisine here in Halifax and to share news and laughs. He was always my "Dr. T". He had a ready smile and a hearty laugh and was always supportive as a friend. I am absolutely heartbroken that he has passed but joyous to know he will be with the Lord. Rest well, Dr. T- you will be greatly missed and I feel the world is a little darker without your light.”
