She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Hirtle and Vera Hirtle (Himmelman); her husband Ronald Sponagle; and her siblings, Ellsworth, Marshall Hirtle, Doris Smith and Phyllis Haughan.

She is survived by: her son Neil (Joan); her grandchildren, Laura (Danielle), Benjamin (Melissa) and Matthew; her great grandchildren, Keith and Evalyn; her sister Nina Teal; and her friend Earle Wagner.
