He was predeceased by: his parents, Anne Connolly (MacIsaac) and Patrick Joseph Connolly of Sydney; and his siblings, John Connolly (Leah), Eileen Gillis (Paddy), Patrick Connolly (Bette), Dennis Connolly (Mary), Louise Whitehead (Larry), Murray Matheson, Ann Culligan (Joe) and Kaye Connolly.

He is survived by: his friends, Sister Yvonne Theriault, Fr. Joe MacKinnon, Bishop Martin Currie and Fr. Jim Richards; and his sister Barbara Matheson of Ottawa. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
