It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wayne John Hankey of Halifax, Nova Scotia, born in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, who passed away on February 6, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Everett Hankey of Middle Sackville and Marion Leona Eisenhauer of Hammonds Plains; and his siblings, Blair, Camilla and Kathleen. He was also cherished by many family members and friends.

He was a founding Director of the Foundation Year Program at King's College and for many years a Carnegie Professor at King's and Dalhousie Universities.
