He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Covin and Phoebe Covin. He is survived by : his daughter Catherine Covin; his grandson Kashston Covin; and his siblings, Judy Grimm (Darrell), Douglas Covin (Marlene), Mike (Connie) and Christopher Covin (Loraine). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Atlantic Funeral Home Sackville Chapel (125 Sackville Dr, Lower Sackville, NS B4C2R3). A burial was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Memorial donations will be made Wayne's name to the Heart and Stroke foundation of Nova Scotia.
