He was predeceased by: his parents, Maude Harris of Halifax and Arthur Harris; his brother Clifford; his sister-in-law Joan Harris of Dartmouth; his sister Marjorie; his brother-in-law Don Stafford of Texas; his sister Dorothy Houston of Ontario; and his brother-in-law Graham Winterbourne of Bridgewater.

He is survived by: his son Kirk (Tishe Petite); his wife Ruth; his daughter Beth (Kelly Organ) of Halifax; his grandchildren, Joseph (Andrea Faber), Benjamin Organ (Shelby Gowan), Cate and Maura Harris of Halifax; his siblings, Bob (Karen), Ken (Nancy) of Dartmouth, Joan Winterbourne of Bridgewater and Jean Lapierre (Henry Haverstock) of Halifax; and his brothers-in-law, Don Houston (Gill) of Ontario, Henry Purdy (Gertrude) and Dan Purdy (Charlotte) of Tatamagouche. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Unfortunately due to Covid regulations, his son Kirk, was unable to be there but had spent many hours previously by his Dad's side.
