With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William John Gillis (Halifax, Nova Scotia), born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, who passed away on November 10, 2019 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William John Gillis to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Stella; and his brothers, Billy, Donnie, Gerry and Lloyd.
He is survived by: his siblings, Eleanor LaRouche (Ottawa) and Glen Gillis (Quebec).
The family wishes to thank the North End neighbours who came to his and his little dogs' aide the evening of his passing, and, as such, encourage donations be made to the Ward 5 Community Centre in honour of the community he was a proud, long-standing resident of.
