He was predeceased by: his parents, William Mark "Bill" and Aileen Monica Petrie; his daughter Eleanor Claire Anita Petrie (Roy Thompson); his parents-in-law, Derry R. and Jean Clarke; his brother-in-law Bill Clarke of St. John's, NL; and his cousin Mona Petrie Bateman.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta Clarke of Halifax; his brother Brian D. Petrie of Halifax; his sister-in-law Joan; his nephews, Neil (Colleen) and Daniel Petrie (Lai); Laura Kolasky (Owen) and Ryan Clarke (Theresa Atherley) of Edmonton, AB.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Cruikshank's Halifax Funeral Home (2666 Windsor St, Halifax, NS B3K5C9). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
