He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth; his daughter Mary; his parents, Robert Kearley and Anna Kearley (Clarke); and his siblings, Bill (Anne), Robert and Phoebe Savoury (Lorne).

He is survived by: his daughters, Annie Owens (Dennis), Roberta Merson (Bob) and Wanda Whitman (Trent). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildre, 1 great-great granddaughter.
