He is survived by: his children, Ashwani (Veena), Rama, Uma (Rob) and Anil (Anita); his daughter-in-law Madhu; his grandchildren, Monica (Vineet), Naveen (Phoebe), Sasha (Kwesi), Vikram (Bhuvana), Kamal, Dylan, Seth, Rohit and Ravi; and his great grandchildren, Amara, Kimaya and Kamila. He is also survived by his sisters, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vedanta Ashram Society in Halifax.
