He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Johnson and Margaret Johnson (Flynn); his wife Agnes; and his siblings, Art and Ruth Ashley.

He is survived by : his children, Linda, Rob (Twila) and Allen (Cindy); his grandchildren, Julia, Dominique and Jake; and his siblings, Ted, Douglas (Marion) and Rose Lapierre. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
