She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Gordon Morash and Daisy Morash; her husband Bill; her children, Marilee MacKay (Rick) and Andrew Gates (Tanya); her grandchildren, Julianna Gates and Dylan Gates; her siblings, Marion Watts, Eleanor Duncanson, Beverly Morash (Jacoba), Harold Morash and Ralph Morash; her nieces and nephews, Brenda van DerBeenes, Sandra Watts Wilson (Colin), Marianne Pers (Joey), Ernest Watts (Kathy), Thomas Watts (Pam), Greg Morash (Nancy), Brian Morash (Tracey) and Michel Morash; and her brother Eddie.

She held season tickets to Symphony Nova Scotia for over 25 years and made many donations to the organization in that time.
