She was predeceased by: her husband Gordon Frederick Brenton; her parents, Ruben Marriott and Elizabeth Marriott (Halifax); and her siblings, Madeline Wells, Bruce Marriott, Ruben Marriott, Douglas Marriott and Joseph Marriott.

She is survived by: her children, Valerie M. Hennigar, Bridgewater, Gordon C. Brenton, Antigonish, Trudy B. Legere Matheson, Bedford, Donald R. Brenton, N. C., Michelle B. Brenton, Belfast and Northern Ireland; and her siblings, Edna Pardy of Surrey, Viola Macintyre of New Brunswick, Bernadette Irons of Halifax and David Marriott.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
