He was predeceased by : his parent Cecil MacDonald; his daughter Kim; and his sister Judy. He is survived by : his parent Edith MacDonald (Wild); his wife Shirley (Wile); his son Chris; his stepchildren, Steve, Cheryl (Randy) and Suzanne (Tim); his sisters, June and Shirley; his brother-in-law John; his grandchildren, Brittany, Frazier, Christopher, Daniel and Wilson; and his great grandchildren, Quinn and Sophie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mt. Denson United Baptist Church or Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
