“Dear cousins. I am sorry to hear about the loss of your dad, our uncle Malcolm. I am the daughter of Malcolms brother Foster. We didn’t see much of your family but I remember when my dad left, uncle Malcolm drove down to cape cod to give us his car. When my mother objected he said it was part of his tithe and she must accept it. You never forget kindness like that. I hope the years in Nova Scotia were good to you all.
