Elizabeth Shea Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Shea (Ingonish Beach, Nova Scotia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 9, 2025 at the age of 89. She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew Whitty and Elizabeth "Bessie" Whitty (MacDonald); her husband Aussie; her sons, Teddy, Peter and Joseph; her son-in-law Joe; and her siblings, Dan, Tim, Clarence, Billy, Mary, Clara and Alberta.
She is survived by: her children, Terry (Cheryl), Clara (Joe) and Cathy; her grandchildren, Tina, Karen, Amy, Mitch, Candace, Brenden, Dalton and Keira; and her siblings, Genny and Melvin. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and at 6:00 PM at the Family Home (30 Harbour Drive, Ingonish Beach). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Church (37385 Cabot Trail, Ingonish Beach, NS B0C1L0). A committal service was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (37385 Cabot Trail, Ingonish Beach, NS B0C1L0).
