It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Jane Mackenzie (Iona, Nova Scotia), who passed away on April 19, 2018, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Maggie C.; her husband John Joe MacKenzie; her child John Jr.; her children-in-law, Edward O'Neill Sr. and Jessie MacKenzie; her siblings, Hector MacKenzie, Mike MacKenzie, Joe MacKenzie, Jimmy MacKenzie, Annie MacNeil, Mary Ann Small and Peggy Mills; and her grandchildren, Lori O'Neill-Glaubius and Karleena MacKenzie.
She is survived by: her parent Alex J. MacKenzie; her children, Peggy O'Neill of Waltham, MA, Sander MacKenzie (Marion) and Betty MacKenzie (Joe); and her sisters, Mary F. MacNeil and Theresa George. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made to the St. Barra Cemetery Fund, Christmas Island or Alzheimer's Society.
