He was predeceased by: his parent Stanley Russell; his daughter Linda; his daughters-in-law, Cathy and Marg; his niece Connie; and his brothers, Robert Jr. and Stanley Jr..
He is survived by: his parent Grace Russell (Bezanson); his wife Shirley (Welton); his children, Nancy Russell (Ron Mapplebeck), Frank Russell (Judy), Brian Russell (Bobbie) and John Russell; his son-in-law David Schnare; and his siblings, Jean Aalders, Dorothy Robinson, Alice Aalders, Avery (Diane), Percy (Phyllis) and Gary (Heather). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Donations in memory may be made to the Valley Regional Hospital – Carey-Me Fund (in support of palliative care in the home) or the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses.
