With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Owen Tinker (Kentville, Nova Scotia), born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, who passed away on July 7, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his children, Nick (Doris), Tim (Julie), Tobias (Athanasia) and Katie; his grandchildren, Calum, Holly, Alice and Alexis; and his siblings, Delia (Malcolm), Brian (Gill) and Don (Pam).
He also donated generously to the University of Toronto, which played such a central role in his life, paying forward the immense good fortune of his education and believing that supporting this opportunity for others was crucial to creating and maintaining a society worth living in.
