He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Bateman and Phyllis Bateman (Cawthra); his wife Kathleen Bateman (Easton); and his sisters, Hazel and Freda.

He is survived by: his sons, Andrew (Michele) and Paul; and his grandchildren, Brittany, Jillian and Tristan.
