She was predeceased by: her parents, Sandrew Hiltz and Gertrude "Dolena" Hiltz (Williams); the father of her children Manny Vaughan; her husband Malcolm Schofield; her significant other Bob Baker; her grandson Andy Dodwell; her siblings, Gertrude, Shirley, Ernie and Garnet; and her brother-in-law Don Larlee.

She is survived by: her children, Terry (Juanita Pleasant), Gene (Judy), Cindy Dodwell, Sandy (Andrea Hancock), Pansy Vaughan, Sam (Brenda) and Beth (Gary); and her siblings, Sherwin Hiltz (Betty), Rebecca Larlee, David Hiltz (Marilyn), Danny Hiltz (Holly) and Rose Rousseau (Ray). She is also survived by her 25 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and, great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Elm Grove Cemetery.

Donations in memory may be made to the Parkinson's Society or Kentville Lions Hall.
