He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Evelyn Hawboldt (Sweet) and Norris Hawboldt; and his siblings, Claire, Kaye, Shirley, Jack, Charlie and Laurie.

He is survived by: his wife Evelyn (Cahill-Chase); his children, Dr. Kelly Anne Hawboldt, Dr. Robert Hawboldt (Bette), Warren Colin Chase (Isabella Parrish), Thomas Hawboldt (Dianne) and Dr. John Hawboldt; his grandchildren, Sandy (Heather Uhl), Robyn (Darren Marinelli) and Geoffrey Chase; his great grandchild Maddox Marinelli; his sisters, Faye Calder (Jack) and Pat Morrison (Bryan); his sisters-in-law, Dorothy "Dot" Hawboldt and Edith Hawboldt; and his brothers, Garnet, Andrew (Genieve), AB and Stephen (Sharon). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and travel restrictions, services will be held at a later date.
