He was predeceased by: his parent Frank Graham Chalklen; his sons, David Alan, Douglas Edward and Brian Andrew; and his sister Elizabeth Anne Falladown.
He is survived by: his parent Anne Mabel Darton (Kidd); his wife Hazel (O'Brien); his daughter Susan "Sue" Darton (Detlef Heiss); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Adam (Maryse), Brianna and Dayna; and his great grandchild Riley. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
