He is survived by: his wife Gloria (Schofield); his children, Michael Royal of New Minas and Cindy Royal (Kenneth Parquette) of Kentville; his granddaughter Josie Royal of Wolfville; his children, Dylan Royal (Jamie Dorey) of Falmouth, Morgan Royal (Kevin Rockett) of Cornwall, PE, Kaitlin Royal of Port Williams, William Parquette and Nimue Royal of New Minas; his great grandchild Cameron; his grandchild Elliana Bilsborrow; and his siblings, Gilbert Royal (Kathy) of Howie Center, Evelyn Fifield of Sydney and Wayne Royal (Cathy) of Canning.
