With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Freeman Barton (Kentville, Nova Scotia), born in Digby, Nova Scotia, who passed away on February 11, 2019. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Seymour Barton and Annie Barton (Jackson); his son Mike Tynes; and his siblings, Helen Hill and Gerald.

He is survived by : his brother Tom Barton; and his children, Mary Mintis, Lesley Davie (Mark), Alison Mintis (Isaiah), Jacquine Johnson, Wendy Brinton (Pete), Vickie Brown (Bob), Marilyn Bennett (Fred), Ron Moses (Marie), Mike Johnson (Heather), Chris Johnson (Michelle) and Duane Mintis. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
