With sadness, we share the passing of Gerritdina Gezina Wittenberg (Kentville, Nova Scotia). Gerritdina, born on March 13, 1929, passed away on September 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandmother Grammie; her parents, Berend Jan and Johanna Gerrits (Marsman); her husband Hendrik Wittenberg; her son Dennis; her great grandchild Cole Wittenberg; and her siblings, Siny Van (Laan), Albert, Jack, Joe and Bill.
She is survived by: her children, Hedy Colgan (Brian) of Dartmouth, Anne Hayes (Brian) of Dartmouth, Diana Wittenberg (Dave Drake) and Ben (Sally); her siblings, Tini Rombaut, Gerry and James; and her daughter-in-law Karen Wittenberg. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Canard Community Church (1315 NS-341, Centreville, NS B0P1J0).
