She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin Alders and Gladys Alders (Durling); her husband Paul Mitchell; her children, Cindy Spencer (Harry "Bunker") and Mark Mitchell; her grandson Richard "Rick" Spencer; her great grandchild Emma Saunders; and her siblings, Reta Little, Joyce Strong, June Webster, Dorothy French, Edith, Clarke, Garnet and George.

She is survived by: her children, Heather Swetnam (John) and Steven Mitchell (Carol); her grandchildren, Tessa Swetnam, Cory Spencer, Melissa Saunders (Adam) and Michael Mitchell; her great grandchildren, Andrew Saunders and Tom Saunders; and her brother Ralph Alders (Linda).
