He was predeceased by : his parents, Alton Taylor and Marion Taylor (Wright); and his siblings, Della, Alta, Vanta and Douglas.

He is survived by : his wife Joan Taylor (Todd); his daughter Dana Dartmouth (Kevin); his grandchildren, Quinn, James, Eric and Cylvia; and his sister Nadine. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
