She was predeceased by: her parents, George Carter and Irene Carter (Stensrud); her husband Garvis; and her siblings, George, Francis, Gordon and Mary.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara, Barry (Kathy) and Coldbrook; and her sisters-in-law, Florence Carter, Somerset, Gwen Tucker, Lower Burlington, Sonya Carter of Lincoln, NB and Audrey Carter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Donations in memory may be made to the Salvation Army Kentville Community Church, the Annapolis Valley VON, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
