He was predeceased by: his father John William. He is survived by: his children, Kim Black, Ian John, James Downie (Karin), Scott Downie (Maureen) and Dawn Benjamin (Burt); and his grandchildren, Maddison, Jesse, Josh, Shannon, Chelsea, Patrick, Brian, Emma and Henry. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Donations in his honor, can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Kings Branch No. 6 or, Shannex - Orchard Court, who took such great and lovely care of our, father.
