It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Georgeina (Fevens Formerly Churchill Ells) Ryan in Kentville, Nova Scotia, born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, who passed away on October 12, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Ashley, Raymond, Betty Burke and Esther Ward; and her brothers-in-law, Robert Churchill, Lawrence Ells and Gordon Ryan.
She is survived by: her significant other Larry Hogg; her children, David Churchill (Anne), Sandra Johnson (Brian) and Joanne MacMaster (Craig); her grandchildren, Amos, Mark, Sara, Destiny, Hannah, Lauren and Gabrielle; her great grandchildren, Josh, Joel and Skyleen; her siblings, Stella Spinney, Douglas Kenney and Curtis Kenney; and her close friends, Clyde and Marion Pitman. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Canning United Baptist Church (2223 North Ave, Canning, NS B0P1H0).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joyce's memory can be made to Fidelis House or the Breast Cancer Society of Nova Scotia.
