He was predeceased by : his parents, Stowell Vaughan and Cora Vaughan (Jordan); his siblings, Wendell Vaughan, Betty Schofield, Eileen Gardner and Connie Shivers; and his brother-in-law Ken Long.

He is survived by : his children, Terry (Juanita Pleasant), Gene (Judy), Cindy Vaughan, Alberta, Sandy (Andrea Hancock), Pansy Vaughan, Sam Vaughan (Brenda Spicer) and Beth Zwicker (Gary Ross); and his sister Zelma Long. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews.
