It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Groot (Kentville, Nova Scotia), who passed away on September 20, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard Groot to pay them a last tribute.
He is survived by: his wife Elisabeth; his children, Anna (Ian), Maarten (Catherine), Barbara (Russell) and Mara (Funsho); his grandchildren, Paige (Grace), Eric, Daina, Kathleen, Devon, Sebastian, Oladeji and Similola; his sister Loes; and his nieces, Wendy and Michelle.
Dick much respected the work of many not-for-profit organizations that try to make the world a better place and would welcome a donation to The Portal Youth Outreach Organization in Kentville (http://www.portalyouth.ca.) or the local chapter of the VON (http://www.von.ca.).
