He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Shaffner and Helen Shaffner (Sweetser). He is survived by: his daughters, Carolyn, Ellen (Rob) and Wolfville; his wife Deborah; his daughter Fort McMurray; his siblings, Nancy (Maurice), Overstrand, Norfolk, England and Paul; his nieces, Elizabeth (Sam), Emily (Matthew), Norfolk and England; his cousin Judy (Maine); his great-niece Alice; and his great-nephews, Ben, Peter and Rupert.
