He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence and Verna (Broome); his son Michael; his father-in-law Basil Jollymore; his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Fifield, Dora Ernst and Granville Leopold; his nephew Peter Ernst; his great-niece Natalie Ernst; and his great-nephew Jack MacLaughlin.
He is survived by: his close friend Tracy Gates; his son Jason (Erin); his siblings, Pauline Leopold, Sandra MacLaughlin (Grant), John and Karl (Paulette); his siblings-in-law, Deborah Messom and Leonard Fifield; his mother-in-law Jean Jollymore; his grandchildren, Sydney, Emery and Finley; his cousins, Anne Pudsey, Judy McCullum and Gary Lynch; and his wife Dianne. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
